MILAN - In the third break weekend of Serie A due to the international
friendly matches ahead of the World Cup 2010, 3 of Leonardo's players will be
away from Milanello these days: the Azzurri players Zambrotta and Pirlo and
the Dutchman Huntelaar.
Andrea Pirlo and Gianluca Zambrotta will play with their national team on
Saturday the 14th in Pescara in a friendly against Huntelaar's Holland. The
match will be played at the Adriatico stadium starting at 20.50.
On Wednesday 18th the Azzurri national team will play in Cesena against
Sweden while the "Orange" will play in Heerenveen against Paraguay. At the
Dino Manuzzi stadium the match will start at 20.50 while at the Abe Lenstra
venue it will start at 20.45.
Important matches ahead of the Qualifications for the European Under 19
tournament for Michelangelo Albertazzi and Gianmarco Zigoni. The two young
Rossoneri of Giovanni Stroppa's Primavera team will play on Wednesday 11th a
friendly at La Borghesiana against Flaminia Civitacastellana. The serious
matches will come on Friday the 13th, Sunday the 15th and Wednesday the 18th
when the Azzurri will face Albania, San Marino, and Republic of Ireland
respectively. There will be decisive points to play for the European
championship of the category.
This afternoon Thiago Silva was called up by the Brazilian national team for
two friendlies against England (14 November in Doha, Qatar) and Oman (17
November in Muscat, Oman). Milan have decided to let the player go, adhering
to the Brazilian national team's request, even though it came after the
established regulation times of Fifa, because of our good relationship with
CBF.
