Dubai interest in Milan denied
Sheik Mohammed will not be investing in Serie A side
Milan-based business newspaper MF reported that Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum was planning to make a 400million euros (47million) offer to secure
a 40 per cent stake in the Serie A club.
A Dubai government official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said
neither Sheik Mohammed or "any of his advisers are in discussions to purchase
a stake in AC Milan".
The Rossoneri, who are sponsored by Dubai's Emirates airline, spent a
week-long training camp in Dubai earlier this year.
Milan are currently at the centre of a developing transfer saga with
playmaker Kaka linked with big-money moves to both Real Madrid and Chelsea.
Club president Silvio Berlusconi has admitted he will hold talks with the
Brazil international on Monday and will leave a decision on his future in his
hands.
