Serie A Preview: Milan-Inter


This is by far the most anticipated match of the season in Italy, as we once
again get a taste of the Derby della Madonnina.

BACKGROUND


This match always provides plenty of excitement and emotion, and last
season’s edition was no different, as Milan defeated their city rivals 1-0.

德比一直都是充滿激情與興奮感的競爭，上賽季亦然。

With Inter having been eliminated by Villarreal in the Champions League, the
Nerazzurri supporters protested and did not sit in the Curva Nord, their usual
cheering section.  The Rossoneri faithful had come out in numbers, however,
as Milan had advanced to the semifinal of the Champions League, and their fans
had nothing to be upset about.


當時國米在歐冠被 Villarreal 淘汰，國米的球迷以缺席德比抗議，所以在看台上的
國米加油區並沒有見到他們。相反的，米蘭的球迷當時當時並沒有什麼好失望的，因為
當時米蘭剛剛挺進冠軍杯的四強決賽，所以忠誠的紅黑球迷在數量與氣勢上壓倒國米。


Both defenses struggled in this match, and the lone goal was scored thanks to
a defensive error.  Milan took a free-kick, and while the Inter backline was
attempting to play the offside-trap, Marco Materazzi did not play along, and
kept Milan’s players onside.  Kakhaber Kaladze settled the ball at the back
post before hammering it into the net.

雙方的防守都努力避免丟球，但唯一的進球仍然來自於防守的錯誤。

There were several nervous moments for Milan, as goalkeeper Dida looked shaky
between the sticks, but he was able to recover in time to not allow any goals.

CURRENT FORM


Milan (D L W, 7 points)

The Rossoneri finally got back in the win column on Wednesday, with a 1-0 away
victory versus Chievo Verona.  The goal was scored on a long strike by fullback
Marek Jankulovski.

Despite this win, they continue to struggle in attack, with none of their
strikers having scored since the opening day win against Lazio in early
September.  Rumors have started creeping up of transfer possibilities in
January, and this might be the fire the current strike force needs to get
themselves in gear.

While they have endured criticism nearly all season for their play,
Internazionale are in first place at the moment, with the goals finally
starting to flow from the attacking third of the lineup.

This resurgence was highlighted in the midweek home win against Livorno, by a
score of 4-1.  The partnership upfront of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Julio Cruz
were both on target, and the team played well as a whole.

TEAM NEWS

Milan are missing Serginho and Giuseppe Favalli through injury.  Massimo
Ambrosini and Joann Gourcuff just recently returned to training, and therefore
will also sit out this match.  Paolo Maldini was rested during the midweek,
and should play from the start against Inter.

德比魔老賽跟從國米轉會到米蘭的老法仍然傷病。

Inter will also do without several key players.  Alvaro Recoba was injured in
the win over Livorno, and will be out for at least another week.  Adriano,
who hasn’t scored for more than six months, is back in his native Brazil
trying to regain fitness.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Gennaro Gattuso (Milan) – He is the midfield engine for Milan, and can
                           control a game all by himself on occasion.
                           His work rate is second to none, and he will need
                           to put in a great performance for Andrea Pirlo and
                           Kakà to have space to get up the field.

PREDICTION

While many critics of Italian football point to matches such as this one as
an example of why Serie A has a reputation for being boring, they really
could not be more wrong.  Every attacking buildup is calculated, with each
player doing his part with equal significance to attack and defend.

許多的足球批評家認為義甲比賽都很無聊，米蘭城德比就是範例，也不能說不對啦...

The two encounters between these sides last term finished with a win a piece,
and both were thrilling affairs.  Each will attack, with defensive focus also
being high in importance.  In the end, a draw would not be unfair to either
team.

如果從一開始判的就比MILAN重的LAZIO都可以減少罰分到-3
我實在不懂米蘭為啥還是-8（茶）
