這場會看的人應該不是太多，所以新聞加減看看也好。
相較起來我是很重視這場的，我對 Catania 的客場防守很有信心。(爆)
米蘭這賽季的防守雖然也有問題，但遠遠比不上進攻的問題。
在中場線漸漸恢復完整的情況，期望能在聖誕節前一掃淨勝球蛋蛋的哀傷。

Serie A Preview: Milan-Catania


High-flying Catania venture north from their Sicilian home to Milan, with
both sides occupying each other’s expected standing at this point in the
season.

首次嘗到展翅高飛滋味的 Catania 將從他們西西里島的家中出發，往北踏上未知的
冒險旅程，目標是米蘭。兩隊目前的排名剛好都是彼此在開季前被期望的位置。

How Times Have Changed 

事易時移，滄海桑田。

At the beginning of the season, everyone (including yours truly) believed
Milan would still challenge for the Serie A title despite the points penalty
received for the Calciopoli verdict.  Catania were going to struggle to stay
out of the drop zone, and would most likely go back down to Serie B at the
end of the 2006-07 campaign.  Obviously, this has not been so for either
club.

在本季義甲開賽的時候，每個人(我真誠地相信也包含讀者大人閣下)都相信米蘭即使
在電話門判決罰分的不利因素下，仍會衝擊義甲冠軍的位置。而 Catania 則將會在
降級區奮戰，而且大概賽季後應該又要準備回義乙去。很顯然的，我們看到的現況對
兩家俱樂部都跟我們的預期不同。

雖然米蘭仍然在積分榜上跌跌撞撞，但沒有一隊可以在聖西羅討到便宜。米蘭現在極
度渴望獲得三分的積分，尤其是在這個來自西西里，目前第四名的對手。但他們也瞭
解如果要把他們拉下來，他們必須要戰鬥，戰鬥到最後一刻。

Milan are in fourteenth place, and have not even been a shadow of the club
which made the Champions League semifinal and finished second domestically
last season.  The main problems, as are the case usually with struggling
sides, have been the ability to score goals and not give them away on the
other end of the field.

米蘭目前位居義甲十四位。完全不像上賽季那個歐冠打到 Semi，在聯賽中排名第二
的隊伍。主要的問題在，這賽季的進球能力很有問題，在對手的半場打陣地戰時控球
也常出現低級失誤。

The Rossoneri have not been able to score with any regularity, and have
averaged just a single strike per match (16).  This may be about to change,
however.  Alberto Gilardino scored twice at the weekend versus Fiorentina in
Florence, and has three in the last three matches.  He was supposed to be the
lynchpin of the striking department this term, and he may finally be ready to
secure his status in that role.

紅黑軍中在十六輪中只進了十六球，平均每場只能進一球，沒有人可以稱上是穩定的
得分手，不過這情況也許即將改變了。吉拉在上一場比賽對 Fio 梅開二度，在過去

Giving up preventable goals has been a weakness of Milan in recent years, but
they have not had a penchant for allowing so many.  They give up one per
match, and with the injury bug continuing to hit the defensive staff, they
will again be pushed to the limit because of their limited numbers.

近幾年米蘭最大的弱點就是老是被進一些不該被進的球，不過今年倒沒有被進這麼多
亂七八糟的定位球角球之類的。今年米蘭在聯賽中平均每場丟一球，主要的原因還是
在傷兵因素，這困擾著防守團隊，使後衛都必須發揮到自己的極限超時工作。

Sicilian club Cantania Calcio won promotion to Serie A this year, and the
Rossazzurri currently occupy fourth place in the table.  Nobody thought they
could do so well, but this has become the trend rather than the exception the
last few years.  Promoted sides have been going toe-to-toe with the usual
heavyweights, and have been getting in some good shots.

來自西西里島的俱樂部 Catania 是在本賽季升到義甲，這批紅藍色的大象軍目前在
義甲當中排名第四。他們的表現超乎所有人的預期，但這已經漸漸成為一種趨勢了。

Catania have achieved this surprising standing by playing very well at home
with attacking football.  They have not, however, played well on the road.
In eight away fixtures, they have conceded twenty goals, highlighted by the
whopping 7-0 demolition at the Stadio Olimpico against Roma.

Catania 能夠站在現在的第四位置，主要因為他們在主場常能打出漂亮的攻勢足球。
相較之下，他們在客場的表現就遜色很多。到現在為止他們已經在客場的八場比賽
當中丟掉二十球，其中還有一次是在奧林匹克球場以 7-0 的方式被羅馬用力推倒。

The Rossoneri have just one victory in their last eight matches, and they
have drawn far too often.  While Saturday’s 2-2 result in Florence was
fortunate, given the late goal by Gilardino in stoppage time, it was preceded
by a scoreless draw at home versus Torino.

The winds of change may soon blow through the red and black half of Milan,
and few members of the current squad can feel totally secure about their spot
in the team.

紅黑大爺們在最近的八場比賽只贏了一場，輸了一屁股，而且也平太多場了吧。(翻桌)

Despite their bad play away from home, Catania have blown everybody away with
their form, and can give themselves a further boost by getting a big result
on the road in this current fixture.

They played well in their last match, a 1-0 home victory over Udinese, and
more results like this should be on the way.

客場表現的很差，但他們最近在主場的表現可以幫助他們在義甲走的更遠。如果他們
還能再增加他們在客場的表現的話，可以獲得更高的成就。

Catania 上個月表現得很好，上一場在家對 Udinese 以 1-0 獲勝，而且這樣的表現

TEAM NEWS 

Milan will come into this home match with an inexperienced squad full of
younger players.  Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Nesta, Giuseppe Favalli, Serginho
and Alessandro Costacurta are missing from the defense, while Massimo
Ambrosini is missing for the midfield.

米蘭這場比賽會缺少老頭，多讓小正太上場才是王道。

Catania do not have major injury concerns, and will be well rested after
their weekend match against Empoli was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

PLAYERS TO WATCH 

Kaka (Milan) – He will most likely be fielded in a more advanced role than
he is used to, just behind the lone striker.  This will give him more
shooting opportunities, which is something that would frighten any defense.

在上一場的比賽當中使用 4-4-1-1 的陣型讓 Kaka' 有更接近球門的位置，同樣大的
跑動空間。這增加了他的射門機會，這會造成全世界防守的大麻煩...

Gionatha Spinesi (Catania) – He already has eight goals this term, and could
push up that total against Milan’s weakened defense.

Man on fire: Alberto Gilardino (Milan) – The under-fire striker scored twice
last week to make it three goals in three matches. After so much criticism
his celebrations in that match showed how fired up he is at the moment.

上星期梅開二度的吉拉近三場總共進了三個球，在被那些亂七八糟的評論家狗仔隊批

POSSIBLE STARTING XI’s  預測先發

Milan (4-4-1-1): Kalac; Cafu, Simic, Kaladze, Jankulovski; Brocchi, Gattuso,
Pirlo, Seedorf; Kaka; Gilardino

Catania (4-3-3): Pantanelli; Silvestri, Sottil, Stovini, Lucenti; Baiocco,
Edusei, Caserta; Colucci, Spinesi, Corona

PREDICTION 

This match should have a lot of attacking from Milan, who will try to score
early against Catania’s defense, which does not do well away from their home
ground.  Also, look for the visitors to hit back on the counterattack with
good passing and ball movement.  In the end, it will be Milan who strike
the biggest blows, and get the victory.

米蘭這場比賽應該能發起很多進攻，並且會試著在 Catania 美妙的客場防守下早早
得分。我們也可以觀賞客隊反擊中球的傳接與流動。但最終米蘭將以大比分旋風式地
拿下這場勝利。
