A Celtic supporterhas been killed after being run over by a taxi ahead
of his team’s Champions League clash in Milan.
According to the British Consulate, the fan was crossing Via Santa Sofia
on Tuesday night when he was hit by the car.
The victim was immediately taken to the Niguarda hospital, however he died
later in the night following serious head injuries.
“We can confirm that a British citizen was killed in a road traffic accident
at 11.30pm involving a taxi,” said Joanne Yeadon, Press officer at the Milan
consulate.
“Next of kin have been informed. My colleagues are dealing with the
authorities and offering consular assistance.”
