A.C. Milan have clarified the claims that have been published in the Italian
newspapers regarding the club's actions. We have outlined them below.
1) There was no contact with chief executive Adriano Galliani and former
referee Pierluigi Collina.
2) Adriano Galliani has never had a conversation with the referee's
designator or management of A.I.A. and C.A.N. about assigning referees or
assistants.
3) The Paparesta dossier is all outside the role of Mr. Paparesta and Mr.
Galliani in his role as Milan chief executive. As Mr. Papareata has declared,
Mr. Galliani only requested from his secretary to Dr. Letta a relative
document to connected activities of the Diesel Bio Ace Consortium, of which
Mr. Paparesta was auditor.
4) The telephone conversations reported to Mr. Leonardo Meani demonstrate
exclusively that the organsied system came from a third party. Moreover, they
demonstrate that Milan was never meant to be involved, never used those
system and viceversa, but only demands to be dealt with justice and fairness.
