Galliani Again Confirms They'll Be One Major Swoop 05/30/2003.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has confirmed that the club will sign
one major player this summer.
"All of the players here will remain," he said. "We don't want to get rid
of anyone and we want to make it clear to all of our squad that they are
important to us."
"There will be an important addition. Don't ask me who or where they play. But
I have one player in mind."

Gazzetta Again Links Beckham With Milan 05/30/2003.
A report in today's Gazzetta dello Sport has again linked Manchester
United midfielder David Beckham with a move to European champions Milan.
The paper says that the club and the player have already reached an
agreement, although the Italians have yet to speak with United.
Another twist in the story is that Barcelona's presidential candidate
Laporta has promised that he will purchase Beckham if he is elected, and
has reportedly reached an deal with the English club for 23 million pounds.
It is worth remembering at this point that Manchester United have stated
that the player is going nowhere, while Beckham also says he is happy.
