MILAN - Andrea Pirlo and Gianluca Zambrotta have been called up for
Italy’s next two matches. The Azzurri will visit Northern Ireland in
Belfast on Friday, before hosting Serbia in Genoa on Tuesday, October
12, as the qualificitaion phase of Euro 2012 continues.
In the meantime, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s Sweden will play only one game,
but what a match-up! The Netherlands-Sweden qualifier in Amsterdam is
scheduled or Tuesday, October 12, at 20.30 CET.
As for Brazil, two Pato, Robinho, Thiago Silva and Co. will play two
friendlies: first, they will square off with Iran in Abu Dhabi, on
Thursday, while on Monday, October 11, they’ll face Ukraine in Derby,
England.
The other called up players are Sokratis Papastathopoulos (Greece),
Mario Yepes Colombia), Rodney Strasser (Sierra Leone) and Oguchi Onyewu
(USA).
