Hi Anca,
this is Angela from NTU LC. I'm writing to tell you about the reception
plan we have made for Samir. But before that, I'd like to thank you for
sending us such a nice trainee! Samir is so friendly and easygoing that
whatever activities we have, he seems to be curious about everything and
enjoying himself very much!
So far, we have taken him to visit a lot of places aroud Taipei city:
we have been to night markets, computer exibition, to the mountains,
some local parks, and also to see the traditional Chinese puppet play..etc.
In addition, he even went rafting and to the beach with some other trainees
in Taiwan. And of course he has tried many traditional Taiwanese food and
snacks, he even made a list of what he wanna try in the future! Moreover,
since recently it's Chinese "ghost month." which falls on the seventh
month on the lunar calendar, he also saw some of the rituals held during
this important festival. In next month, we will have a formal welcome party
for Samir,( because only at that time most of our members will return from
other cities or countries.) and he will also involve in our recruitment
activities.
In short, we keep in contact with Samir every week, and we arrange a series
of activities for him. In the following months, we will have some casual
events like barbeque, going to movies, visiting museums, mountain climbing...
.and some social volunteer works, and also some aiesec events such as culture
presentation, seminars of all kinds...etc. Our plans are very flexible,
and we will make a record of each activity he has attended.
