MINSK, May 21 (Reuters) - Belarus number one Max Mirnyi was unanimously voted to the post of vice-president of the country's tennis federation (BTF) for the next four years on Friday.
The 26-year-old was praised for leading Belarus to the Davis Cup semi-finals for the first time in their history.
The World Group newcomers upset 2002 champions Russia 3-2 in the first round in February before trouncing Argentina 5-0 in last month's quarter-finals.
Mirnyi was unable to attend the BTF assembly because he is in Paris getting ready for the French Open, which starts on Monday.
