Totti calls for unity Wednesday 20 July, 2005

Francesco Totti believes that the current Roma squad can
challenge for top honours if they stick together.
The last campaign was disastrous for the Giallorossi after
a string of managerial changes and squad indiscipline hit
them hard.
Totti was one of the worst offenders as he constantly threatened
to leave the Stadio Olimpico and then received a heavy ban for
deliberately kicking an opponent.
But the Roma skipper has now called for the squad to unite
in their bid to challenge Serie A’s top dogs.
“Let’s be realists. It’s normal that Milan, Inter and Juventus
have something more than us,” said the No 10.
“But we can be as strong as they are if we can remain unified
and work well.
“With will and determination great things are possible.”
The comments are even more relevant when you consider that the
capital outfit are currently banned from buying or selling players.

Elsewhere, Inter have sold half of their share in midfielder
Dino Marino to Serie B side Arezzo.
The youngster made three appearances for the Nerazzurri last term,
with his Serie A debut coming in the game against Sampdoria in May.
