Roma boss Fabio Capello has again been attacked by chief Franco Sensi who today claims to have signed Lucio.
The Giallorossi President spoke unkindly about Capello after he was asked whether the tactician was set to depart for Real Madrid.
"If that happens I would jump for joy," said Sensi on Tuesday. "Anyhow, this will be his last season with us.
"He conned me when I offered him a new two-year deal because it wasn’t the right time to do such a thing.
"If, next year, he intends to see out his contract by pretending to not understand the situation then I will pay him for the remainder of his deal and send him packing."
Sensi is believed to have not sacked Capello this summer because he would still have to pay him close to ￡3m a year until his contract expires in 2005.
And the Olimpico main man insists he already has a replacement lined up. "If Capello does leave then I will bring in Carlo Mazzone who I speak to regularly," he added.
Mazzone has Coached the capital side in the past and is currently unemployed after he left Brescia recently.
Sensi also claimed that he had reached an agreement to sign Brazilian defender Lucio from Bayer Leverkusen.
"I’ve bought Lucio, Mancini (Venezia), Dacourt (Leeds) and I will buy a striker because Marco Delvecchio is of no use to me," he continued.
Delvecchio did state earlier this term that he had hoped to continue his career with the Stadio Olimpico side.
It is believed that Sensi is trying to make an ambitious bid to sign striker Bernardo Corradi from rivals Lazio to replace the former Inter man.
