"It's been awhile since I've played on a field so nice, perfect. Never a bad
bounce, everything became simple for us. It seemed like the garden in my backy
-ard." Totti turns, while he continues to talk to look over to his father Enzo
, with him during his trip to Valencia, for another historic night in Spain.
"Now that I think of it it's been awhile since he's been with me to an away ga
-me to see me play. I have to bring him along more often, the invitation to Lo
-ndon is already ready...."
Francesco seems to be like a little boy. For the simple joy that can be seen
on his face. His eyes happy and awake, he has the air of one who's rested. "Fi
-nally I'm well. How well? I'm at twenty percent, ten a goal. Even because the
-y can say everything that they know about me..." It's the only thing that lea
-ves a bitter taste in his mouth, you can tell he wants to say something, it's
on the tip of his tongue, he's tired of all the things written about him in
the newspapers, about the many injuries, and too much talk (about his relation
-ship with his girlfriend).
However, that's not enough to take his satisfaction away, as he scans the many
Spanish newspaper titles with his father Enzo. He smiles as he reads: Capello,
the black beast, then he looks at another article where there is a picture of
him as the title says how devastating the Roma captain was against Valencia.
"Here they are true sportsmen. It's the first thing I said to Capello, as soon
as I returned to the locker room at the end of the game. The behavior of the
public hit me. Applause for a play, ovation at the moment of my substitution.
That's the emotion I felt as I left the field, it was the most beautiful thing
, more than the two goals. When I see the people, who then are not your people
, raise to the feet to thank you, know I understand that Spain is another worl
-d. And for a footballer it's more easier, I feel in my element."
He relives the match, splendid images. "This has been one of my most beautiful
games on an international stage and perhaps one of the most important victorie
-s for Roma. But Real remains Real, that for me will always remain an unforget
-table night. In that stadium...." Spain and Totti has a particular feel, it's
not for nothing that since he was a child he always dreamed of wearing the Rea
-l shirt. He laughs, as he thinks of the flashback. At least in ten years. "We
'll see, there's time, this nation gives me a special effect: I become lucky,
it's the place where I express myself the best." To the Mestalla public, apart
from the back heels and some first time plays, they like the chip shot he trie
-d, with Canizares out of his goal, from the midfield of the giallorosso area.
"If the keeper came out, you can even score a goal from sixty meters. I almost
made it."
Yet again he dedicates himself to Cassano, the rebel in difficulty in the lock
-er room. The two of them had fun and entertained. "Both of us together have
even played well in the past. The talent of Antonio is extraordinary, very imp
-ortant for us because he can make the difference. It's clear, he has to grow.
" But what about the future. "Didn't you see? Roma remains great, we needed th
is victory to understand who we are. I have found out that we're still the sam
-e, that of last year and of the scudetto. We can return, finding the continui
-ty, at that level. I'm optimistic. I'm hoping that it's the turning point to
get back on top, it surely well be for the mental level. When on the field the
-re is the right tranquility, the results come. If we play like this, we can p
-lay against the strongest formations and the most expert."
Underlining the objectives. "They are still the same. The qualification of the
Champions League and the victory in the Coppa Italia. Then in the championshi
-p we'll see how it ends.. At this moment we surely have to save face, it's th
-e thing I would put in first spot." He continues: "The success at Valencia wa
-s the best way to get out of this crisis. Now, with three points, we'll play
for it. And we believe. Now the comeback starts. The hope to recover in the gr
oup stage is there. We have to win at London, however. If we can do it, we're
in. The balances will be done after the match against Arsenal, this for the mo
-ment is only a beautiful win. Now, however, we have to think about the champi
onship: it's important for the society and the city. We have three or four mon
-ths to comeback." He's not upset about the reaction of Sensi before their tri
-p to Spain. "It's normal that he criticized the group who lately have not bee
-n able to express themselves at a certain level. For me that, however, was no
-t Roma..."
He continues about the talk of Roma's rebuilding: "It was the president who sa
id before that he wants a great Roma side for next year. My desire is to stay
with Sensi: needed is only a few touches, three or four elements that can make
the difference. A team like ours, for the following year, merits a European co
-mpetition: we hope that we won't pass from the Champions to the UEFA, it beco

"I didn't get any treatment, here in Spain, for my back. I solved everything
before leaving. It doesn't hurt me anymore. If somebody still doesn't understa
-nd, when I'm well I always play."

Totti似乎興奮的像小孩,還跟爸爸一起翻西班牙當地的報紙,
看媒體有沒有稱讚他..呵呵^^
並說了以後要常常邀父親隨隊比賽(他覺得Totti爸是福星嗎^^)
訪問中Totti稱讚了西班牙的球場球迷,跟對手瓦倫西亞,
也談到他跟西班牙奇妙的"緣分"(Totti似乎很喜歡西班牙...)
接下來他稱讚卡薩諾,說他是能改變局面的球員
再談到他依然對羅馬的前景很有信心,羅馬依然是一隻強大的隊伍!
而Totti說自己背部的傷已經完全好了,
他說"when I'm well I always play"(我被這句話感動了!_!)
