OSETI is organized in USA, placing in relation East and west coast from
Universities of California at Berkeley, Harvard and the Smithsonian Obs in
Massachusetts. Harvard project is directed by Pr Paul Horowitz already known
for his participation in projet META; the one of UCLA by Geoff Marcy and Dan
Werthimer who is also director of projet SETI@home.
Today 3 projects OSETI are sponsored by the Planetary Society. This one
receives also donations from SETI Institute andBosack-Kruger foundation.
The optical detector is attached at the 1.5m telescope at Smithsonian
Observatory from Harvard University, just near the radiotelescope used for
BETA project, also sponsored by the Planetary Society.
