[國中] 代名詞those的用法

很多時候 文法選擇選對答案很容易 但要解釋出來讓孩子們理解

有時候就很困難～

這一題：

The people in the country are friendlier than _______ in the city.

這題的空格～

最原始不找代名詞替代應該是填the people

變成

The people in the country are friendlier than the people in the city.

但因為the people前面提過 所以後面用those代替



但是選項中有一個答案是these

these也是代名詞 那為什麼不能用these來取代the people呢？

對我而言 一看就知道答案是those

但要怎麼解釋給學生聽呢？
