[國中]翰林國一上習作43頁 in the evening等於at night?

題目：依範例做代換練習
Example：It 's six in the morning --->It's six a.m.

2.It's eight thirty-nine p.m.
答案：
  It's tihgt thirty-nine in the evening.
4.It's one in the morning, not eleven at night.
答案：
  It's oen a.m., not eleven p.m.

我的問題：
我記得我國中印像
in the evening是指傍晚
at night是指晚上應該是指不一樣的時間吧?
所以學生問我第2題可不可以寫成at night 我回答不行
可是我又不知道in the evevning 和at night 的時間是一天的那些時間
像第4題的題目
It's one in the morning, not eleven at night.
晚上十一點不可能寫eleven in the eveing吧?
我覺得at night 和 in the evening 都有晚上的意思
但不可以劃上號
而且備課用書的131頁、132頁國小單字索引
evening是傍晚 night是;夜晚

請問老師們：
in the evenig 和 at night的正確時間範圍和用法
