今天整理基測題發現97年第二次基測題第九題

題目中so that前加了逗號，原因為何呢?
我和同事討論了一下，
以為是因為句子太長，為了斷句清楚，但仍不確定是否如此。

如果句子換成下方:

When Albert takes a trip, Albert ususally brings a ______ with him so that
he can write down what he sees on the road.

so that前方可加逗號嗎?

→ myglory:我知道那是連接詞 但印象中這個連接詞前後連接子句時
→ myglory:並不能加逗號 所以才覺得奇怪
