[高中] turn out vs. end up

在雜誌上看到這個句子
If there's a problem with the air tank,
the diver could end up stuck too far underwater
to be able to get up in time to breathe.

在此句中，end up 可代換成turn out嗎？
為什麼呢？

同樣一篇文章中，有個句子
The diving mask allows divers to clearly see fish, plants,
or ______ else is around.
選項有(A)whichever (B)anything that(C)whatever(D)something that
我知道選C，但是好像說不出理由是什麼？
是因為else的關係嗎？

推 ohcaptain:同時要有see的受詞和is的主詞  所以該有what  或者
