南一高中英文第四冊L1的句子裡有句:
I prayed (that)there would be a deluge
and that we would have to stay there forever.
第一個that被省略，第二個則沒有
且書裡的解釋說「第二個that不能被省略」
請問各位老師：
兩個that同樣都是受詞，第二個不能被省略
是因為pray的是兩件事情嗎？
還是有其它文法上的考量嗎？
