有時候還有省略should的用法

很多台灣的參考書, 把present subjunctive說成是省略should
以前在補習班有位英文老師[鄭蓉]說過
他請教過well-educated native speaker
結果對方說本來就沒有should, 哪來省略should
研究所專攻語言學又再次得到印證
其實英美的語言學家都指出這是present subjunctive, 本來就沒有should
God bless you. (present subjunctive)
It is necessary that he go right away. (present subjunctive)
It is necessary that he should go right away. (modal verb: should)
