Thu Oct 1 12:54:49 2009
1. 有一篇文章在探討the People's Republic of China繁榮復興之路
In 1949 more than 90% of the population lived in rural areas;
given the expansion of urban areas, slightly more than half (721
million) do today, according to official statistics.
2. So is it crazy to imagine that, given the difficulties it faces,
someday the whole experiment might blow up?
3. Still, given the unprecedented scale and nature of China’s socioeconomic
change over the past 30 years, the country’s relative stability is
commendable.
Under the new plan, people can freely alter Wikipedia articles on,
say, their local officials or company head - but those changes will
become live only once they've been vetted by a Wikipedia administrator.
5. We have managed, rather gracefully, far more change than we predicted would
come; it turns out that our past’s vision of the future was not visionary
enough.
p.s. 這句話出現的文章大致上是在討論 : the future’s power is born of
experiment, and the endless grudge match between fear and hope
Who better to get in touch with than an old flame?
(這一篇文章是在說 the function of Facebook…People have found ways to
reconnect with one another.)
Thanks a lot!

→ dunchee:-> 8 SUG....... 10/01 22:56
→ dunchee:5 -> than we predicted (前頭的"change"重複用,可以省略 10/01 22:59
→ dunchee:4 ->裡頭有old flame.
I got all of them. 10/02 10:45
