三民習作上看到一個句子, There is an explanation why the plane crashed.
請問這個句子有錯嗎? 我看不出來耶。

那這樣的句子有錯嗎?
why the plane crashed 不能當explanation 的同位語嗎? 有需要加of嗎? 謝謝。

→ bonniei:應該是explanation of/about (the reason) why the...才對
也有人說應該是 the plane WAS crashed.  不知大家意見呢?

→ cloud7556:字典上有主動的用法，應該跟was無關，我是贊成樓上。
推 takila:bonniel是對的  因why是關係副詞=for+which
→ takila:which=先行詞  若先行詞是the explanation ==>還關係子句:
→ takila:The plane crashed for the explanation==>語意很怪
→ takila:那架飛機是因為這個解釋而墬毀
