1. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? A person's
childhood years (the time from birth to twelve years of age) are the
most important years of a person's life. Use specific reasons and
examples to support your answer.
=====================================================================
That depends on which aspect you are talking about. In a person's young
years, one is free from financial pressure and allowed to concentrate
on academic pursuit, but without established social status.
So what we should ask is, what's so special about a person's chidhood
years. About the moment a child is born, one starts to absorb input
from the outside world. At this time, the infant is like a pure white
paper. Any information taken in will be for the future reference.
For example, when a child first sees fire, out of curiosity he touches
it. He feels hurt, and withdraws his hand immediately. From now on,
he'll keep in mind that the fire is dangerous.
