The answer is yes. Children should help with household tasks, or they
will take everything for granted.
The floor doesn't get clean by itself. Were it not for someone such as
the mother to regularly mop the floor, it would accumulate piles of dust.
Just like the street, if there weren't those sweepers, trash left by
passers-by and excrement from stray dogs and cats would spoil the view.
Take the food for another example. The God doesn't provide us with the
yummy yummy meals. The God only gives us the nature. Those dinner on the
table has gone through the stages of cultivation in the farmland or animal
husbandry, trade in the market and cooking on the fire. And speaking of
the fire, it's started by electricity, fuelled by natural gas, neither of
which comes so handy. But of course today you don't have to understand
how the electricity and gas are produced unless you work in that department.
