Scene Six: David's Bedroom
DAVID is in his bedroom, packing his bags. RUTH enters with the laundry basket.
Ruth: (very uncomfortable) I have some of your t-shirts here.
They're still warm.
David: Mom--
Ruth: Oh, don't let me stop you.
David: You know, I probably should take a couple of those t-shirts with me to
Las Vegas.
With horror, he notices a condom wrapper on the floor.
He kicks it away, not knowing that RUTH has already seen it. He also
hides a bottle of lubricant.
Ruth: David, I want to ask you something.
David: I'm really kind of in a hurry here.
Ruth: I just wanted to know, are you--?
David: (interrupts) Mom, can we talk about this when I get back from
Las Vegas?
Ruth: (laughs, nervously) Yes, of course! That's a lovely idea! We'll talk
about it when you get back from Las Vegas...(exits)
