very good song choice, but very pitchy.
make this song contemporary, bringing R&B vibe into this song.
but it's just very OK for me.
Melinda Doolittle - There Will Come a Day (Faith Hill)
solid, good, but not a very daring song to do.
Blake Lewis - Imagine (John Lennon)
safe, but very sincere. like his tone very much.
After Jennifer Hudson's "violent" rendition in season 3,
(or Madonna's horrible rendition in Live 8 performance)
i actually like this rendition.
LaKisha Jones - I Believe (Fantasia Barrino)
former idol's song again. KiKi just butchered it. I don't like
her rendition AT ALL. Fantasia is much more contagious. LaKisha's
rendition is very very aiiiiight for me.
Phil Stacey - The Change (Garth Brooks)
i really think Phil did a fantastic job by sticking to his country route
and picking a good song. He sang this song very well too.
Jordin Sparks - You'll Never Walk Alone (Elvis Presley)
I personally don't think this song suits Jordin so well. She could have
picked a more contemporary song with better melody. She sounds she's putting
too much effort. quite pitchy. in the end she hit the high note and saved
this song. Maybe Jordin should have listened to Patti LaBelle's rendition
and made this song more dramatic.
Basically I don't like this week as much as I think.
