今天小弟我要分享的一本好書~~

"The Fascination of Breeding Aquarium Fish"
by Herbert R. Axelrod, Mary E. Sweeney 1993

這本書專門在講觀賞魚的繁殖，尤其是整本書的封面前後的照片，
就是擺明的一個屌字可以形容。 (怎麼厲害法請往下看就知道)

我手上沒有書，這是做夢的時候加拉辛大神托夢指點給我看這秘笈。
大神說:「這本很大本(13.9x10.3x1.8 inches)，但沒啥內容，都是一堆漂亮的圖。
有需要的話，可以順便托夢連線到影印機，印出來我要的頁數。」
我只有印紅蓮燈跟紅鼻剪刀的那幾頁。有好東西要跟眾魚友分享，
我把紅蓮燈的部份整理給大家看。整理的哩哩拉拉的~~

內容是一對紅蓮燈產瞬間噴卵圖，看這裡就是知道公母怎麼分。
(人家20年前就已經生的亂七八糟了，而且都拍照下來了，我到現在都還沒看到噴卵的
瞬間)

內容是紅蓮燈在追尾的過程。

書中講到這邊提到一個有意思的資訊:
Characins are tremendously fertile if the breeding stock is properly
conditioned and fully grown. In fact, the danger actually lies in not
utilizing your egg-filled females often enough. Mature females living
without mature males can become egg-bound and subsequent breeding is
difficult if not impossible.  (英文不好,不敢亂翻譯，歡迎英文強者翻譯。)

原生環境水質: brown, rich in humid acid and low in mineral content.

作者依據這樣的原生環境建議: soft water (2~3 DH), well aged, acid (pH5~6.8)

公母區分: 不容易~但是書中還是有做些描述:

公魚: the male is bit shorter, has a flat chest line and possesses the
typical characin hooks on the anal fin.
(這邊有強者可以幫忙說明characin hooks長什麼樣嗎?)

母魚: 如果給與充足的營養，就可以看出來肥大的身軀。

繁殖缸條件:
魚缸大小 5~10 Gallons , 微打氣。
水質: 非常軟的水 (1 DH), 加兩茶匙鹽抑制細菌生長。
水深 4~5 inches, 底部鋪薄薄一層的peat moss 可保護卵。
水溫:74度F  (23度C)

放魚到魚缸的方式(跟誘導產卵有關係,很重要的!!):
Place the pair in the tank in the evening and allow only very soft lighting
the next day.

產卵行為:the pair will assume  side-to-sode position and 300 to 500 eggs
(作者自己形容產卵行為不容易觀察的到，可是作者本身還拍的到清楚的照片，他是神嗎?)

卵型: translucent, brown adhesive eggs

發育:約兩天魚會孵化(此階段須避光), 但是約第五天後開始游泳。先吃草履蟲，
後吃豐年蝦。約8~9個月會成熟。

以上是書本的內容    我自己的繁殖條件跟他有些不太一樣

→ hite        :我猜可能室溫度的關係  外國人應該是養的溫度會較低
