Ramos shuns Reyes' advice

ArsenalSevilla starlet Sergio Ramos is prepared to shun advances
from Arsenal in order to remain in Spain.
The highly-rated youngster has revealed that Jose Antonio Reyes and
Francesc Fabregas have urged him to head for Highbury after Arsene
Wenger showed an interest in his talents.
However, the defender has signed a new contract that ties him to
Sevilla until 2008.
"I could never have thought that things would happen so fast," he
told As.
"To be in the Sevilla team and to play for the Under-21s.
"In spite of interest from teams like Arsenal, I knew very clearly
that I wanted to renew here.
"It was my desire. I am young and I have a lot of time. I only want
to give back Sevilla all the confidence they have invested in me.
"I met with Reyes and my friend Cesc in Bosnia. They both said to
me that I should go to London.
"But my only dream is to grow with Sevilla."
The 18-year-old will look to develop his game in La Liga while
Wenger keeps close tabs on his progress.
