Celta take Arsenal striker Vela on loan

MADRID, Feb 1 - Celta Vigo have taken Arsenal's young Mexican striker
Carlos Vela on loan, the Primera Liga club said on their website on
Wednesday.

Arsenal bought the sporting rights to the 16-year-old Guadalajara player
in November after he impressed for Mexico at the under-17 world
championship in Peru.

Vela top-scored with five goals in the tournament which Mexico won. He
has yet to play for the London club.

Celta, who lost 2-1 at home to Real Madrid on Sunday, are eighth in the
Primera Liga.
