教授也說每個人都期待他去簽一個像韋拉的球員，但如果真的有這種球員，祖文也不會
找上槍手的韋拉了。
最讓人期待的是這句：我們必須尋求另一種系統打法，而不是只期待會找到另一個韋拉。

Wenger calls on squad to compensate for Vieira

ARSE`NE WENGER, the Arsenal manager, will not attempt to replace Patrick
Vieira — for the simple reason that it is impossible. Instead of searching
for a clone of his former captain, who has joined Juventus, Wenger may have
to change the style of play that has brought the club a steady stream of
trophies since the two men arrived at Highbury within weeks of each other
nine years ago.

“I cannot replace Patrick Vieira,” he said. “Everyone expects me to buy
another Patrick Vieira, but if another Patrick Vieira existed, Juventus would
not have come to Arsenal to buy the player. We will have to find a different
system to play and not expect that we will find another Patrick Vieira.

“I feel that the team has to regroup. We have lost a giant and a magnificent
player. The negative influence is that the team feels less strong
psychologically but on the other hand it can wake everybody up a little bit
and (make them) try to do more and compensate for the fact that he is gone.”

Wenger was speaking at the launch of the Amsterdam tournament, in which his
team will face Ajax, the hosts and holders, tonight and FC Porto on Sunday.
Pre-season tours and tournaments can fulfil a number of functions — as
money-making or marketing exercises rather than competitive occasions — but
the need to continue experimenting with Vieira-less formations means that
