Robin van Persie says he will be happy to become world champion without
scoring any more goals.
Robin van Persie 說自己很樂意沒有進球而與荷蘭隊成為世界冠軍。

The Arsenal striker has only scored once so far in the finals, but claims the
Dutch, who play Slovakia tomorrow, do not rely on the qualities of one star
player.
這名 Arsenal 射手至今只進1球，宣稱即將和 Slovakia 對上的荷蘭隊不會依賴其中一名
的明星球員的表現。

Van Persie, 26, says he wants to prove he can play exactly like he does at
Arsenal, where manager Arsene Wenger converted him into a genuine striker.
26歲的 Van Persie 表示，他想證實他在 Arsenal 同樣能做到的事，也就是 教授 將他
轉型成名符其實的射手。

“This is my biggest challenge in the World Cup,” he said. “I want to prove
that I am a real striker.

“I want to be important for the team and guide Holland to the final in my
role as an out-and-out striker.”

The Dutch cruised through the Group stages with three straight wins over
Denmark, Japan and Cameroon. But the orange total football has been lacking a
spark.

But Van Persie says he has learned a lot from the sort of games Arsenal face
in the Premier League.

Van Persie said: “With Arsenal we play a lot of matches in the Premier
League where we have to break down a packed defence.
Van Persie 說：『在英超，與 Arsenal 一起踢的許多賽事都是需要我們去打破嚴密的後
防。』

“Away at Blackburn, you need patience. As an Arsenal striker I don’t get on
the ball for 10 minutes in games like that, while I could be making lots of
runs during that time.
『例如：客場作戰 Blackburn，你需要耐心。作為 Arsenal 射手，我在那樣的比賽裡有
十分鐘之久都沒有碰到球，而我依然在那樣的比賽中持續奔跑。』

“In this World Cup it is exactly the same. You have to be grateful for one
or two moments in a game. And then I have to hit the target.But scoring goals
is not an obsession for me. If I help the team play well, if I can create
things in the box and let others score, I will be just as happy.
『在世界盃也是同樣的，你必須感激能有一次或兩次這樣的機會，然後將球踢進網內。但
對我而言，我不會癡心想著要自己進球。若我能助隊踢得更好，若我能在禁區創造機會讓
隊友得分，我也同樣開心。』

“In that way I may think slightly different from other strikers.

“If I get to hold the World Cup in two weeks’ time and I have not scored
bags of goals, I won’t moan.”
