Wenger runs the rule over Traore and Randall

Arsene Wenger has heaped praise upon the two 16-year-olds he has
surprisingly taken to the Club’s pre-season camp in Austria.

Armand Traore and Mark Randall both played in Dennis Bergkamp’s
testimonial at the weekend and then the 2-1 victory at Mattersburg on
Tuesday night. The French left back looked particularly impressive in
both games and laid on the first goal for Jeremie Aliadiere against
the Burgenland outfit.

“He is very positive, very powerful and very quick,” said Wenger
afterwards. “He had to go off with cramp tonight. It is too much for
them after working so hard in training. He and Mark Randall are only
16 years old. It is demanding on them but they have both done well.

“The World Cup means I have an opportunity to see a lot of young players
in these types of game against a good team. It is interesting for me.”
