Robert Pires has been left out of France's squad to face Poland after
being asked to explain comments he made about coach Raymond Domenech.
The Arsenal star has criticised Domenech in recent interviews, and his
omission sparked rumours his international career may be over.
Pires' meeting with French officials was postponed on Monday but he was
still left out for the 17 November tie.
Manchester City striker Nicolas Anelka also missed out.
Pires has won 79 caps and scored 14 goals for Les Bleus, while Anelka has
not played since April 2002 after falling out with former France coach
Jaques Santini.
Domenech has included three new faces in the squad, with midfielders
Florent Malouda from Lyon and Bordeaux's Camel Meriem, along with PSG
defender Sylvain Armand among the 19-strong list.
