Vieira warns Gunners about Henry

Former Arsenal skipper Patrick Vieira has urged the Gunners to bring in
some new faces to help persuade Thierry Henry to stay at Highbury.
"I know he's talking to the club about a new contract," he told BBC Five
Live.
"But I think when you want to keep your best players you have to bring in
some new ones.
"To do well in Europe you need a good team. A few years ago at Arsenal we
had a really good team but we didn't play well enough to win a European
trophy."
Vieira left Arsenal after almost nine years in north London during the
summer, moving to Juventus in a £13.7m deal.
One of his priorities in opting for a change of scene was to give himself
a better chance of winning the Champions League.
"You always want to go somewhere you can win what you didn't last year,"
Vieira added.
Rumours persist that Henry may follow suit. He has two years of his present
deal to run but has yet to publicly state that he has begun contract talks
and could leave for a cut-price figure next summer.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists Henry will sign but Barcelona are
reportedly ready to swoop for the French international.
