而在上季聯賽盃決賽當中槍手們也是3-0大勝查爾頓奪冠
這是繼聯賽盃冠軍、聯賽冠軍之後，一年內Vic Akers的球隊奪得的第三個獎盃
前鋒首選Kelly Smith和Julie Fleeting都沒有上場，後者是上賽季的進球后

第三球是近距離推射
第四球是18碼遠射
Vic Akers說“Tonight was an excellent way to start the season. I’m very
pleased especially because it was against Charlton and you expect a tight
game with them, but I felt it was a fair reflection.
“Jayne Ludlow made a big difference, her enthusiasm for the game showed
through and when she plays like that anything could happen.”
The Welsh captain remained modest after such a performance. “I’m enjoying
my football at the moment and have had a good pre-season”, she said.
“The girls played to my strengths tonight and I’m glad I made the most
of the opportunities.”
