Arsenal will be able to call upon Spanish playmaker Fran Merida for next week
’s Carling Cup Quarter-final despite his red card for the reserves against
Aston Villa on Wednesday.

Merida was involved in an off-the-ball incident with Fabian Delph and
recieved a straight red card for appearing to punch the former Leeds player.
Red cards in reserve matches do indeed result in suspension for first-team
matches, but Merida’s three match ban doesn’t start until December 9th,
meaning he is available for selection against City but cannot be called upon
for the matches against Liverpool, Burnley and Hull.
他跟前Leeds中場Fabian Delph在無持球狀態碰撞衝突(Delph動作比較大卻只拿到yellow)
。經確認後預備隊的紅牌是跟一線隊算一起，不過他的禁賽會從12月9號之後才開始實施
，所以聯賽盃還是趕的上，但無法參與9號之後一線隊的三場比賽。

Jack Wilshere is rated at 50:50 for Arsenal’s Carling Cup quarter-final with
Manchester City next week after suffering a recurrence of his troublesome
ankle injury after 65 minutes of last night’s Reserve defeat to Aston Villa.
Wilshere下週出賽的機會50-50，因為他在預備隊的比賽膝蓋傷勢復發第65分鐘被換下。
Wilshere took several kicks on his ankle in his first game back since a
month-long layoff and Banfield eventually withdrew the youngster after he
deteriorated in the second half. How bad the problem is will be determined by
a scan but no doubt Jack will be desperate to return for the quarter-final
after missing the win over Liverpool in the last round.
傷勢程度要等到掃描後確認。
