Wenger upbeat despite lost points

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was not too disheartened after throwing
away a 1-0 lead at home to West Brom.
"I feel we came out with a 1-1 draw with a team that showed great spirit
and defended every ball," he said.
"Overall I'm quite pleased because we played well, passed the ball very
well but they made it very tight for us.
"I feel maybe our defenders have not got the confidence needed. When you
don't score the second suddenly you feel a bit edgy at the back."
Pascal Cygan had the chance to put Arsenal 2-0 up, but the defender headed
over the bar from close range.
Wenger added: "We missed an unbelievable chance at the far post - we
couldn't finish the game off and I think it affected our defenders and
they took advantage of it.
"The most important thing is to keep the way we want to play and get
that nervousness out of our defenders.
"We go from game to game and we know how to handle that. We have a
big game on Wednesday in Eindhoven and we must first recover from our
frustrations and I'm confident the boys know what we want to achieve.
"I feel the hunger is back in the team and that is the most important. "
