Henry criticises Greek supporters

Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has hit out at Panathinaikos fans, saying
he was the target of racial taunts during the Champions League draw on
Wednesday.

Henry scored from a penalty, but did not celebrate the goal, opting to
stand still while glaring at the stands.

"Of 162 goals I've scored, I've not celebrated two against Panathinaikos,"
he told the Sun newspaper.

"And there is an explanation for that. They [the supporters] had been
making monkey noises at me."

Henry continued: "After scoring, I just stared at the fans for a few
seconds. What else could I do?

"I could not make a sign with my hands otherwise I would get into
trouble.

"And what happens next - I get criticised from various people for the
way I celebrated. Sometimes, I just cannot win."

Arsenal's black players claim to have received similar treatment during
last month's trip to the Greek capital, when Henry also scored in a 2-2
draw.
