FA keen on Arsenal-Man Utd talks http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/4004491.stm The Football Association could bring forward a meeting between Arsenal and Manchester United officials after they were drawn together in the Carling Cup. The FA is keen to end the feud between the clubs after the league game at Old Trafford ended in controversy. League Managers' Association chief John Barnwell said: "This draw is a great opportunity to heal the wounds. If you don't they can be allowed to fester. "In our business, you are always going to get those sort of disagreements." The FA had decided to delay clear-the-air talks with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger still facing a misconduct charge for calling United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy a "cheat." Even though both managers have said they will play reserve sides for the 1 December Carling Cup tie, the FA is keen to avoid any of the recriminations encountered after the Premiership game. Barnwell recently wrote to all of his members, reminding them of their responsibilities to show respect to each other. He added: "We were reminding all of our members of their responsibilities to the game. "It was not specifically aimed at Arsene or Sir Alex Ferguson, although obviously their recent disagreement has been well-publicised." -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.229.33.22
