賽維亞主席知道溫格在上週去巴西那趟行程中，曾經跟Baptista會面後，很不高興。
說賽維亞與槍手之間雖有談判在進行，但是賽維亞還沒有准許槍手去直接與Baptista談，
賽維亞主席威脅說他會把這事上報（可能報告到FIFA或FA）。雖然Baptista說溫格與他
見面只是想親自聊解一下他這個人，聊聊足球，也聊聊槍手，沒談什麼轉會的事情，
但是賽維亞主席並不這樣想。這報導臆測說賽維亞可能會用這點去逼槍手出價到16m。

槍手在今年一月已經因為簽下Quincy的過程中，沒查清楚其中一個仲介人的身份，
已經被英FA罰鍰加留校察看（見槍版4184篇）。所以賽維亞主席的威脅有一定程度的
殺傷力。

另外從別處有看到那個曾對Baptista出嫁的第二家神秘英超球會是...熱刺！ XD
姑且不論熱刺是否真的出過價，賽維亞目前真的是全力與槍手鬥法中。不過隨著Baptisa
在西甲效力即將進入第三年，還有年底快取得西班牙公民身份的同時，還是有不少球隊
在對Baptista虎視眈眈，尤其是一個讓教授願意(或說是順道去)跑到巴西，還能讓槍手
出價兩次的球員(第一次是6-2，聽說後來又出一次8-2)，加上這球員兩季能進五十球
，相信其他球隊對他也很有興趣。

文尾又是講祖文對Vieira有興趣的事，還說槍手說只要祖文出到16m-18m就願意賣。
之前還有傳言說槍手已經選定里昂的馬里籍國腳中場M. Diarra作為韋拉離開的
替補人選。對這個傳聞，我是蠻懷疑槍手真的願意賣Vieira，原因第一價錢太低，
第二，短時間內哪裡去找一個像Vieira這樣在英超經驗豐富的中場球員？

Arsenal in dock over Baptista approach

ARESENAL’S attempt to buy Ju'lio Baptista could prove even more costly after
comments from the Brazil forward suggested that the club have made an illegal
approach for him.

“They (Arsenal) met me, but they only met me,” Baptista said. “They came
just to meet me, but it was also only that. We spoke about football.
(Arse`ne) Wenger wanted to get to know me as a person and he talked to me
about Arsenal and his team.”

Seville, his club, have been angered by Baptista’s claims and they are
considering making a complaint to Fifa about what they believe to be a breach
of transfer rules.

Wenger, the Arsenal manager, watched the powerful forward play for Brazil
during the Confederations Cup two weeks ago and was in Brazil for a few days
last week. Arsenal's bid of 6 million, with a further 2 million based on
appearances, for Baptista was rejected as “derisory” by Jose' Maria del
Nido, the Seville president, last week. The offer came shortly after David
Dein, the Arsenal vice-chairman, had flown to Spain to hold talks with
Seville officials. “Arsenal have not been given permission to have contact
with the player,” Del Nido said. “If they have done this, they have acted
outside Fifa regulations.”

Dein was angry with Chelsea when last month they were adjudged to have
breached FA Premier League rules in meeting Ashley Cole, the Arsenal
defender. Premier League rules do not apply to overseas players, but Seville
could make a complaint to Fifa, the world governing body, or the FA.

Arsenal, who have declined to comment on Seville’s claims, were given a
suspended transfer ban by the FA in January after they were found guilty of
dealing with an unregistered agent when Quincy Owusu-Abeyie signed
professional forms. The ban, suspended for two years from February 1, would
prevent the club from any transfer activity for the duration of a transfer
window, if they were found guilty of a second breach of FA rules regarding
the use of agents.

Officials often learn about alleged breaches, but few are investigated
further, mainly because the clubs reach an agreement for the player. Many
clubs use the threat of a complaint to force clubs into meeting their
valuation of the player. Seville want 16 million for Baptista.

Although Baptista has a 25 million buy-out clause, Seville are aware that
they would receive a lower amount if they waited another year to sell him. By
then, Baptista would have been playing in Spain for three years, and under
Fifa regulations that came into effect last week, the forward would be able
to leave for less than his buy-out clause, if the fee was deemed unrealistic.

Baptista, 23, has refused to sign a new contract, but his hopes of joining
Real Madrid, his preferred destination, appear to be ill-founded. Barcelona
have also expressed an interest in him. He arrived in Spain two years ago
from Sa~o Paulo as a defensive midfield player, but has since been converted
into a forward, scoring 38 goals in 63 matches in the past two seasons. He
has 11 caps for Brazil and is applying for a European passport. Juan Figer,
his agent, who flew to Brazil last week, has told Seville that they must
treble his wage.

Juventus remain hopeful that they can persuade Arsenal to sell Patrick
Vieira. Arsenal are believed to have entertained a delegation this week from
Juventus, who offered around 5 million as well Stephen Appiah, the Ghana
midfield player, for the France captain.

The Serie A club believe that Arsenal are seeking close to 18 million for
Vieira, who has begun talks to extend the two years he has left on this
contract at Highbury. “Arsenal don’t want to sell him (Vieira),” Luciano
Moggi, the director-general of the Italian club, said. “I haven’t said that
he is too expensive. In any case we will have to meet them again.”
