From 1982, until the end of 1999 JVC featured on every Arsenal shirt but after 17 years of valued support they made way for SEGA Europe, who sponsored the shirts for three years. One of the final SEGA tops was a gold shirt, which the team wore when winning the title at Old Trafford in 2002.
From the beginning of the 2002/03 season telecommunications company O2 took over as shirt sponsors. Three newly designed kits were released to coincide with O2’s sponsorship and the new Club crest.
