Bergkamp: Style is 'manager's dream'

Arsenal’s brand of football is a “manager’s dream”, according
 to Dennis Bergkamp.

The Dutch striker played a major role in Saturday’s 4-0 win over
 Charlton at Highbury. Thierry Henry took the plaudits with two
magnificent goals but Bergkamp had an excellent game alongside
the Frenchman.

He set up Freddie Ljungberg for the first and then, after Henry’s
 cheeky second goal, helped Arsenal run riot. They scored two more
 but it could have been four against a usually resolute Charlton side.

“We needed that second goal,” said Bergkamp. “We needed a cushion.
 But after we got that we could relax more. And you could see when
 we do relax how easy we can make it look.

“It was every manager’s dream - one-touch football that is so quick
 and so difficult to defend against.

“It is not only keeping the ball and having one-touch football but
it is with a purpose to go forward, create chances and score goals.

“It is fantastic and a joy to play. That’s exactly how I want to
play football.”
