Bergkamp confirms new deal

Dennis Bergkamp has revealed he has been offered a new one-year contract by
Arsenal.
The Dutchman, 36, confirmed the news after The Gunners clinched FA Cup final
glory with a penalty shoot-out win over arch rivals Manchester United on
Saturday.
As is almost customary for Bergkamp at the season's end, speculation over his
future had arisen following the club's tardiness in offering him new terms.
However, the former Ajax and Internazionale star has rolled back the years
again this season with a series of fine displays and will now be rewarded by
the North Londoners.
He will be granted another 12-month stay which will see him extend his time
at Highbury into an eleventh season.
Speaking to the BBC, Bergkamp stated: "I'll be here (next season), yes. It
will be okay."
When asked if he had been offered a new deal, he added: "For one year, yes."
