官網的消息 來跟雷爺作伴? Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Spanish goalkeeper Manuel Almunia on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee. The former Celta Vigo keeper spent last season on loan at La Liga side Albacete. He made 22 appearances to help secure the club's status in the Spanish top flight. Almunia has gained experience over the past seven seasons, playing in over 100 matches in both La Liga and the Seconda Liga in Spain. Prior to his loan spell at Albacete, the 27-year-old spent the previous two seasons of his time at Celta Vigo on loan. He spent the 2001/02 campaign at Eibar and the 2002/03 season at Recreativo Huelva. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said: "We are pleased to have signed Manuel Almunia, who we have been watching closely for a while now. "He is a goalkeeper who will provide good support to our squad and he has proved last season during his time on loan at Albacete that he can perform effectively at the highest level." After completing his move to the Gunners, Almunia said: "I am so happy to be joining Arsenal. They are a great club with a squad full of fantastic players. "Arsenal showed last year that they are truly one of the best teams in Europe and I am delighted that I am now a part of this football club. I hope that I can help the club challenge for trophies next season." Manuel Almunia will immediately join up with his new team-mates for pre-season training. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.166.156.58
