Taylor agrees to join Aston Villa
Stuart Taylor has agreed to join Aston Villa and will sign a four-year
deal with the Premiership club this afternoon, subject to a medical.
只要通過藥檢，Taylor將會與維拉隊簽下四年合約
The former England Under-21 goalkeeper won a Premiership winner's medal
with Arsenal in 2002 after injuries to David Seaman and Richard Wright
gave him his chance in the first team. But Taylor has endured injury
problems of his own, notably a persistent shoulder problem which
sidelined him for the majority of the 2003/04 campaign.
這位前英格蘭U-21國腳在2002年時拜 David Seaman 與 Richard Wright 受傷所賜，
甚至在2001/02球季累積足夠的上場次數而拿到聯賽冠軍獎牌。
Taylor recovered to enjoy a productive spell on loan at Leicester City
last season but the presence of Jens Lehmann and Manuel Almunia has
restricted his chances at Highbury.

The 24-year-old came through the ranks at the Lilleshall National Football
Academy and joined Arsenal as a trainee in the summer of 1997.

Taylor said:
"This is all about career progression for me. Obviously I'm still young
in goalkeeping terms, but I still want to push on and progress," Taylor
told the club's official website.
"It was no good for me to stay at Arsenal to sit around and do nothing.
I've come to Aston Villa as the number two, but obviously I want to
push for a place.
「留在阿森納坐板凳對我來說並不好，雖然我來到維拉是二號門將，
但我希望能通過我的努力爭取先發位置。」
"My aim is to move on in my career and progress. That's why I'm here.
"Thomas is a great goalkeeper. I've seen him play and obviously he's a
fantastic player.
"But it's up to me to push him all the way. I've just got to work hard
in training and look to impress."
