ARSENAL NEWS - Jermaine Pennant, unsurprisingly, has been loaned
out for the remainder of the seasont to Birmingham City.
The England Under-21 international spent last season on loan at
Leeds United, but after an impressive campaign at Elland Road,
the winger has failed to find regular first team football at Highbury.
The 22-year-old is due to appear in court on Tuesday, but the Blues
decided to go through with the deal anyway. A statement on Birmingham's
website said: "Pennant has joined on loan until the end of the season,
subject to personal circumstances."
Surprisingly, however, it seems that after months of speculation,
Brazilian midfielder Edu will stay at Arsenal, at least until the
end of the season.
Even Arsene Wenger said he would 'bet on' Edu moving to Valencia, but
the Spanish Champions could not agree a fee with Arsenal. Wenger now
expects full committment from the midfielder for the rest of the campaign.
"I had a conversation with Edu on Saturday when I understood that he
might not leave," revealed Wenger.
"He told me that if he has to stay - because nobody really came in for
him at the level we expected - he would be completely committed.
"Once a player says that to me - and knowing Edu as I do - I have no
doubts about that."
Asked if he still expects Edu to leave in the summer when his contract
expires, Wenger added: "I didn't ask whether he had signed for someone
already."
據說槍手開價1.5M (他從Corinthians轉來時可是花了5M)
被瓦倫拒絕了,因為他們想要免費轉會
至於Edu留下來是不是就可以在場上認真一點
well, let's see~
