David Seaman's fine form has seen him continue to be the No1 goalkeeper
for club and country. He saved a penalty at West Ham in August when we
were trailing 2-1 and we eventually came back to draw 2-2. He was also
crucial to our tense 1-0 victory at Auxerre in the Champions League when
the home side put us under pressure towards the end.

A groin strain kept him out of the side for a month late in 2002 but he
returned for the Champions League Phase Two tie at home to Valencia on
December 10.
