英超球會利茲聯(列斯聯)周日宣布，阿森納(阿仙奴)邊鋒彭南特(賓拿特)將以租
借形式為該隊效力兩個月。
彭南特已通過體檢，有可能在下周六利茲聯與托特納姆熱刺的比賽中首次亮相埃
蘭德路球場(艾蘭路球場)。
利茲聯在周日英超首輪比賽中以2-2主場戰平了紐卡斯爾(紐卡素)。(完)

Pennant to join Leeds Utd on loan

LONDON, Aug 17 (Reuters) - Arsenal winger Jermaine Pennant is set to join Leeds
on a two-month loan deal on Monday, Leeds said on Sunday.
The highly-rated 20-year-old, who has struggled to establish himself in the
Arsenal first-team, passed a medical at Elland Road could make his debut at
Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Leeds chairman John McKenzie said on the club's official website: 'We are
delighted that Jermaine Pennant has agreed to join Peter Reid's squad, we
believe he could be an excellent addition.'
Leeds drew their opening game of the season 2-2 against Newcastle United on
Sunday.
Pennant joined Arsenal from Notts County for ? million, a fee set by tribunal,
and has spent two loan spells with First Division Watford whilst waiting for
his chance at Highbury.
The loan deal would not have been possible until the Premier League decided
this season to relax the rules on loans between Premiership clubs.
