Vieira 50:50. Henry, Edu, Pires all fit

Patrick Vieira is 50:50 for Sunday's clash at Manchester United.
The Arsenal captain limped out of last weekend's win over Aston
Villa with an ankle problem and, as a result, did not travel to
Panathinaikos in midweek. Before making that trip manager Arsene
Wenger described the Frenchman as "80 per cent out" of the Old
Trafford game. The statistics were stacked more in the midfielder's
favour when the manager spoke at Friday's pre-match press conference
but Vieira is no certainty yet.
"They told me it would be a three-week job so I thought it would be
impossible for him to play on Sunday," said Wenger.
"However at the moment, he is looking good. He is 50:50. He had
training today where we protected his ankle a little bit but he is
better than expected.
"If there is no reaction then we will go a step further tomorrow and
I'll make a decision on Sunday.
"It would be good to have him in the side. He has experience. He has
seen it all and has that impressive physical presence I want in a big
game. You know the commitment will be top level and he is one of the
players who is technically good and physically strong."
Edu, Robert Pires and Thierry Henry are all fit after picking up ankle
knocks in Greece.
Gael Clichy (ankle) is out along with Gilberto (vertebrae). But Justin
Hoyte (hamstring) is fit again and keeper Manuel Almunia has a "slight
chance" of making the squad after injuring his shin.
