A hip injury sustained at the World Cup meant Freddie Ljungberg's season
began against Borussia Dortmund at Highbury on September 17. He scored
that night as he did in our next Champions League encounter at PSV
Eindhoven.

Of course, he had ended our last campaign with another memorable goal in
the FA Cup final.

Freddie regained his form quickly but sickness and then an Achilles injury
meant he missed all the games over Christmas and New Year.
